Allison Johnson is a printmaker and painter born and raised in Minnesota/Wisconsin, but found their way to the Southeastern part of the states. They hold a Masters of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Clemson University, and a Bachelors of Science in Philosophy and Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Through a queer lens, their studio practice involves collaborative projects that navigate cultural and ecological shifts in today’s landscape. Allison Johnson’s artwork has been collected and displayed nationally and internationally.
Allison teaches all levels of Printmaking at the at the University of North Georgia. In their free time you can find them riding through the national forest on their horse Phoenix or engulfed in a body of water.
