Allison Johnson is a printmaker and painter born and raised in Minnesota/Wisconsin. Their studio practice involves collaborative projects that navigate cultural and ecological changes in today’s landscape. Allison Johnson’s artwork has been collected and displayed nationally and internationally.
Allison teaches all levels of Printmaking and Painting II at the at the University of North Georgia. They hold a Masters of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Clemson University, and a Bachelors of Science in Philosophy and Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. In their free time you can find them riding through the national forrest on their horse Phoenix or engulfed in a body of water.
My intent as an artist is to share our connection with ecology. From a queer perspective, my studio practice involves collaborative projects that navigate cultural and ecological changes in the landscape.
